Ashtanga June Immersion

TIME & LOCATION

Jun 04, 2026, 5:30 PM – Jun 29, 2026, 7:00 PM

People's Yoga, 15b Manoli Kalomoiri, Lemesos 3030, Cyprus

DETAILS

TL;DR

Ashtanga is one of the most influential yoga systems in the modern world — powerful, structured, breath-led, and deeply transformative.

But for many students, it can also feel intimidating.

😰 The sequence looks long. The Sanskrit sounds mysterious. Mysore classes can seem confusing. And if you’ve ever wondered “Am I ready for this?” — you’re not alone.

This June, we’re making Ashtanga approachable.

Ashtanga Immersion is a 4-week guided journey through the Primary Series, created for both curious newcomers and existing practitioners ready to go deeper.

Rather than dropping into random standalone classes, you’ll move through the sequence progressively as a group — building familiarity, confidence, and understanding week by week.

Over 8 sessions, you’ll explore the method, learn the rhythm of the sequence, ask questions, and finish with an introduction to traditional Mysore practice.

🎟️ Join with your regular membership — no extra fee.

🗓️ June 4–29 • Mondays & Thursdays • 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM

By the end of the month, Ashtanga won’t feel intimidating or out of reach anymore!

WHAT TO EXPECT

Over 4 weeks of June, we’ll progressively explore the Ashtanga Primary Series in full depth:

Week 1. Opening sequence, sun salutations, standing postures, and half of seated work.

Week 2. Progress deeper into seated postures, transitions, breath rhythm, and flow.

Week 3. Continue further into Primary Series, explore backbending and finishing practices.

Week 4. A fuller led experience + introduction to traditional Mysore-style practice

MEET YOUR TEACHER

Learn from a truly dedicated Ashtanga teacher.

This immersion is led by Evie, whose teaching is rooted in a deep respect for the traditional Ashtanga method: breath-led movement, rhythm, consistency, and structured progression.

Evie has trained in Ashtanga with respected teachers including David Swenson and Manju Jois, and continues to deepen her practice through ongoing study with dedicated practitioners around the world — firmly believing that yoga is a lifelong path of learning.

A committed daily practitioner herself, Evie teaches with clarity, discipline, and genuine care, helping students move beyond simply “doing the poses” into truly understanding the method.

Her vision is to help grow a strong Ashtanga community in Limassol — and this immersion is part of that journey.
